Effective December 26th, 2025, Canada will further reduce the tariff rate quota (TRQ) levels for steel imports that came into force in June of 2025.

As part of new measures to protect the steel and lumber industry, the Government of Canada has announced an upcoming 25% global tariff on specified steel derivative products.
